This care unit was expanded and updated to create more patient bed space. Mechanical systems were replaced to improve air exchange and cooling capacity. Additionally, room pressure and humidity controls were added to the PACU area. Medical gas, vacuum, fire sprinkler and plumbing systems were also remodeled. The Pediatric Care Unit remodel included an HVAC system replacement with new central and distribution equipment for the entire wing. The Operating Suite was remodeled by adding an operating room and support space. Mechanical systems included medical gases, vacuum, plumbing, fire sprinkling, and HVAC including pressure control of operating rooms.
