The West Jordan Health Clinic is a new facility operated by Salt Lake County that achieved a LEED Gold rating from the US Green Building Council. The mechanical systems of the building are variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems coupled with air- to- air heat exchangers providing tempered ventilation air to the building. The exam sinks and toilet room plumbing fixtures are low water consuming style and the associated domestic water heater is a natural gas-fired unit with a condensing heat exchanger. In all, the overall building is modeled to consume 32 percent less energy than the energy code baseline model.
