Salt Lake County South Main Health Clinic

Medical Office/Clinic | Public Works |

Project Description

This project included construction of the new 27,000 S.F. masonry and steel facility that houses a Women Infants and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program, immunizations, women’s health care,  including prenatal and postpartum care, family planning services, cancer screening programs, pediatric medical clinic, Medicaid eligibility office and a lending library.  The building was built to LEED certification standards.

The mechanical systems were comprised of central domestic water heaters with recirculation loops throughout the building serving all restrooms and exam sinks.  The HVAC was delivered by a packaged roof top VAV air handling unit with terminal boxes and reheat coils.  The reheat coils were fed from two hot water boilers.  A wet fire sprinkling system protected the building throughout.
