Project Description

The University of Utah Henry Eyring Building chemical laboratory fume hood upgrade project is a five phase project whose scope encompassed the entire 248,500 square feet of the existing facility. In all, 254 chemical fume hoods were replaced, laboratory gas and vacuum systems were expanded, laboratory pressure systems were added, energy recovery systems were replaced and re-commissioned, exhaust systems were manifolded, the associated exhaust fans were replaced with N+1 redundancy, direct digital control HVAC were added along with emergency power systems to provide backup to the fume hood exhaust and make-up air systems.
