This remodel included a state-of-the-art Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Well Baby Nursery, Intermediate Baby Nursery, Protective Insulation Infant Care and Newborn Intensive Care Units. The project focused attention on noise, temperature and draft control in the critical infant care areas to protect and consider the needs of each patient. Mechanical systems design included medical gases, vacuum, plumbing, fire sprinkling, pressurized critical care and operating rooms, negatively pressured infectious isolation rooms and humidification to infant care areas.
